Day One

Many of you loyal followers have been asking me, ya' doin a blog? Hell yeah I'm doin a blog!

This trip will cover our travels back to Boston for my big sisters wedding in June and then continue back home in September.

We left home this morning and are now spending the night in Ft. McDowell, AZ just east of Phoenix.

Not much to report from today as we have traveled this route many times so it was a heads down, get thereitis kind of a deal so sorry, no pics or interesting stories. We did come across probably the most unsanitary Subway/Taco Bell joint we have ever seen, no, kind readers we held out for something better! I thought about snapping a pic but then, thought better.

Stay tuned, we have some unchartered territories for us coming up over the next few days and hopefully some noteworthy stories and post card pics to pass on to you all.

From here we're off to the Petrified Forest NP, Taos NM and Walsenburg CO...there has got to be some stories from these places, and trust me kind followers, I will find them.

Tally Ho! We're off and running...thanks for tuning in.

Debbie and Howard, Ft. McDowell, AZ

  1. The journey is the destination, according to Google and Ralph Waldo Emerson, so even that repulsive Subway must mean something -- I'll leave it to Big Al to explain since he is well acquainted with disgusting subways. Tally-ho!

    1. Thanks Pete, as I've heard said, knowledge and life experiences can be found at a university, a library, God forbid even the Internet, and they can also be found at a Shell/Subway/Taco Bell plaza on I 10 in Tonopah, AZ!

  2. Glad to see the blog Howard; will be following you guys as you trek East. Pete, the worst Subways I've seen were on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Road food, smells like victory. Godspeed Arnolds!
