I'm Your Huckleberry
Spent the nite in Dodge City KS last Saturday where we made the obligatory visit to the Doc Holiday sculpture in old Dodge.
Here I am playing low card stud with Doc. Notice he is reaching for his pistol with his right hand but I think I may have the draw on him, probably not, as Doc is saying to me 'you're a daisy if you do'.
Stayed the nite boondocking in the Boot Hill Casino parking lot outside of town and had a nice Kansas City Filet Steak and lobster there and caught the KY Derby. Deb won a decent amount of money wagering, enough to cover dinner and drinks so Dodge City was a good stop for us.
This will be a brief one today due to a slow wi-fi connection here at Table Rock State Park in the Ozarks...bee-u-tiful place by the way. I'll give you a nice write up on our wonderful stay at Glenda's ranch in KS in the next day or so.
Peace out, Debbie and Howard

I want to know what wagers were cashing in! Was she betting the derby or playing video poker?
ReplyDeleteVideo poker...she's holding Queens all night. Deal comes, Jacks or better machine, 2 K's come with a Q, she holds the Q, draws and three more Q's pop on the draw! God I love this woman, she pulled at least 6 four of a kinds!
DeleteShe woulda bet the derby cause the number 8 horse (her favorite number) came in at an 8-1 but we were too late to post a wager.
Mama take this badge off of me....
ReplyDeleteOf course she ran the (video poker) table in Boot Hill. Regular old Ma Rainey you got with you.
Diesel, I think you got him, just forgot about one thing. Where's that Hungarian devil at? She's got his soul but may be taking your life!
Love it, guys keep truckin'.
